Dr Moyahabo Ditoto Kgomommu is a Cardiothoracic Surgery Consultant at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital, and she is currently one of only four black females in South Africa who are in the professions. She said she hopes her story inspire other females and younger doctors to specialise in the noble profession. Born and raised in Limpopo, she had never heard a word of Zulu throughout her whole life, “I learned and spoke Zulu fir the first time was when I went to undergrad and did my medicine.”
